The Residence Villa Francia is situated in a quiet residential area, and offers spectacular views of the bay of Cannes, the Lerins Islands and the red rocks of the Esterel. The residence is built like a Mediterranean style villa, and facilities include a bar and restaurant with terrace, tennis court, laundry facilities (for a fee), a newly built reception area, mini market, and a beautiful pool overlooking the sea.(pool is not open during the winter).The beach is situated 1km from the residence. Internet access is available for a fee of aprox. 30 euros for the month and can be arranged locally. One bedroom apartments feature a bedroom with double bed, living area with pull out sofa, fully equipped kitchen with cookware, dishware & utensils, 4 hotplates, mini oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee-maker, bathroom, television, telephone, safety deposit box (for a fee of 80 euros for the month) and private balcony or terrace with garden furniture. Housekeeping is included twice per week. Parking is also available for a fee of aprox. 49 euros for the week and a shuttle service is offered weekdays (expect Wednesdays) every half hour from 9 a.m. -12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. only and on Saturday mornings to the centre of town in the Cannes La Bocca shopping quarter (approx. 7 minute drive from the hotel).The hotel shuttle is subject to availability as space is limited. The local public transportation is frequent and inexpensive at 1 euros per person each way. Taxis are also available to the centre of Cannes for approximately 10 euros per way. You will also have included in your vacation 4 cultural tours to really understand the local culture. Nice excursion with ticket to Nice Carnival:
Departure at 9:00 a.m. from your hotel in Cannes with a private coach and a professional English speaking guide for a full day tour to Nice. Discover the picture-postcard city of Nice on the French Riviera on a morning tour of Nice. Enjoy panoramic views over Nice from Mt. Boron, visit the Castel Park, and see the famous Promenade des Anglais. You will also see the old town with the famous “flowers market” the churches and the fresh market. Lunch on your own expense. Enjoy free time in Nice in the afternoon and attend the Nice Carnival (seating included). Return to Cannes at 5p.m.
Monaco & Monte Carlo Excursion: Departure from the hotel in Cannes with a private coach and a professional English speaking guide for a full day tour to Monaco. After enjoying panoramic views over Nice from Mt. Boron, you'll make a stop at the medieval village of Eze, perched up high with its craft shops and breathtaking views. While in Eze you'll take a guided tour of a traditional perfumery. Your visit to the Old Town of Monte Carlo with its Cathedral, the changing of the Palace Guards and gardens. Lunch in a restaurant on the famous harbor of Monaco at your own expense. After lunch, you will have free time at Casino Square to do some luxury shopping or see the stunning gardens and mega yachts in the harbor. Take a drive along the spectacular coastline of the Lower Corniche between Nice and Monaco, past tranquil villages, modern marinas and the bay and Citadel of Villefranche as you return to Cannes. Return to the hotel in Cannes. St Paul De Vence Excursion:
Departure from your hotel in Cannes with a private coach and a professional English Speaking guide for a half day tour to St. Paul de Vence just a few miles from Nice, where you will enjoy exploring its ancient cobblestone lanes, fortified walls and art galleries. The picture-perfect views and plays on light here make it clear why so many impressionist painters came here for inspiration. Enjoy a guided visit of the medieval village built against the South Alps and famous all around the world for its beauty, artistic influence and numerous shops and art galeries. Return to the hotel in Cannes. St Tropez Excursion:
Departure from your hotel in Cannes with a private coach and a professional English Speaking guide for a full day tour to St Tropez, the richest and most celebrated city on the French Riviera. See the painters, the splendid yachts and the famous Provencal market which takes place every Tuesday and Saturday.. You'll also make a stop at Port Grimaud, known as "Little Venice", to admire its canals, bridges, boutiques and charming houses. Return to the hotel in Cannes.
Day 29: March 29, 2015 Depart Nice – Toronto (via Paris).
